Ellen H. Ray knew from kindergarten on that she was going to be an artist. Growing up, she explored many mediums of art, settling on painting and drawing during her studies at University of North Texas. For over a decade, Ellen has been painting professionally, providing high quality commissioned artwork, murals and art furniture to homeowners and interior designers in the Dallas area. "I came across the dough bowls 2 years ago on a family vacation. I loved the look of the bowls and the way they felt in my hands. Not yet knowing what I would do with them, I bought all they had. Because the dough bowls were originally used in the preparation of food, I thought that food would be a natural subject for them. I am so pleased each time I produce a new bowl. I love choosing the fruits and vegetables, setting them up in my studio and getting to work!"
